In telling the Pakistan Government that she doesn't believe their words about Al Quaeda, she has correctly understood the prevailing situation in that region. Pakistan has all along been nurturing Al Quaeda and the Talibans through the ISI and every second ISI operative knows who is who in this underworld as well as the back of his palm. So trying to hoodwink the US about their ignorance of any such connections cannot continue any longer. When the US was searching for Bin Laden in the early 2000s after 9/11, even a layman in this sub-continent knew he was sitting in the backyard of President Musharraf enjoying the hospitality of the ISI. The big question is - knowing Pakistan's antecedents well - why give them a military aid worth 2 billion USD when you know pretty well that they cant use it against themselves? The Pak generals are going to sell these arms to Al Quaeda, Talibans, LeT etc. through their ISI links and these same arms are going to be used against the NATO forces and counties like India and Afghanistan. Hope the US Secretary of State has now woken up to this truth!
