Corruption Cancer!

Like a Blood Cancer or a Bone Cancer, Corruption Cancer is a non curable disease in the world. This eats into the body of civilisation and damages the very functioning of the society. While it is a little less in developed economies where laws are stringent and the leaders are not corrupt, developing and underdeveloped nations all over the world suffer from this disease. It is not known whether any where in the world both the person who demands a bribe and the one who bribes are both punished, if caught. In most countries only the one who has taken the bribe is punished. The one who bribes is generally not harmed. Even where leaders are impeccable corruption exists in the system due to lack of a good judiciary system. Judiciary has also been affected by this disease in many countries. It has also taken many forms - quick or speed money to get approvals fast and bribe to overlook a legal compliance or breaking of law. To some extent everyone feels comfortable when a bribe is taken since there is a unwritten assurance that the work will be completed. In the current day scenario a non-corrupt government official is like a diamond, a very rare species difficult to find!
