I Love Taj!
Taj Mahal, the monument of love, was built by king Shahjehan in the 15th century, in memory of his love for his wife Noor Jehan. It is built of white marble and holds the tomb of the king and the queen. It was built over a period of more than two decades and exhibits the greatness of Mughal architecture. It has stood over the vagaries of nature the last five centuries and still a wonder to be seen by any visitor to India. Though built by a Mughul ruler, many of whom were not in love with most of their Hindu subjects, the Taj stands as a symbol of love and peace which most Indians consider as important ingredients of life. Considering the fact that both the Pyramids and Taj are actually tombs, the exhibition of beauty even in a tomb highlights the greatness of the Taj. Anyone who visits the Taj would fall in love with this great wonder of the world!
