The Search for A330!

France and Brazil alongwith other countries have mounted an elaborate exercise searching for the Air France A330 that crashed into the Atlantic three days ago. It is reported that search parties have found some oil sleek and couple of plastic pieces over a region of three hundred square kilometers. If the plane had broken to pieces, it would have thrown many floating objects for easy identification especially the passengers personal belongings and hand luggage. But with practically no such debris found till date, maybe the plane has touched the sea bottom holding all its contents together till date. In such case it is surprising how with latest satellite probing technologies the plane has not been sighted on the ocean floor bed. With modern technologies geophysicists are even probing below ocean beds for oil and other minerals and it should not be difficult to find out something lying on the floor bed. We hope the search parties would locate the wreckage at the earliest!
